Triangle S Update
What the Triangle S accomplished in 2007-2008 Besides the normal things such as fund raisers, posting and retrieving signs, carrying insurance, obtaining trail permission, monthly news, clearing trails, sub sales, new clothing items, and the usual stuff. Here is a list of things that made this season special.
1. Summer Picnic at Jeff Myers
2. Traded old Bombi for newer lighter version
3. Held a safety course for new riders
4. Had a display at the Albion Fair (thanks Ron Bartosek for items 3 & 4)
5. Obtained written permission and resumed maintenance and use of all 7 miles of abandoned Railway (thanks Bill Borland)
6. Bought Polaris Long Track Snowmobile for grooming
7. Made 2 new drags for grooming behind snowmobiles
8. Full house at Christmas Party (good time by all)
9. Adopt-a-highway and donation to SPVFD continue our commitment to local community
10. Held our poker run and had ideal conditions
11. Membership surpassed 100 members again
12. Our $12,000 grant was approved
13. Hosted ECSA meeting on Valentines Day
14. Snow disaster team was called upon and available to Law enforcement
15. Enjoyed 110+ inches of snow, when much of the region suffered a snow drought season
16. Erected over 10 new bridges and expanded trail system by several miles (thanks Ohio members for extra effort)
17. bought 6 foot brush hog for trail clearing
